GOP is in a sad state
In my lifetime, I have seen the USA go from the greatest generation to one where the biggest liar can get elected president based on fear.
He should be behind us now – forever – so we can let the good people of our nation can get back to improving the lives of all our people.
Unfortunately the once great party of Lincoln has succumbed to the fear that a reality show host has inspired in his followers. With a few exceptions they are willing to accept his abhorrent behavior for fear of losing the backing of the Trump cult.
The GOP is in a sad state that will only get worse if they fail to support his conviction in the Senate. I fear the cowards are not up to doing what is best for our country and for themselves. Trump must be convicted and banned from politics.
I hope they come to their senses this time.
