Kenda for state rep

By John Schneller, School Board member and Former Town Counselor - Bedford | Oct 24, 2020

I am endorsing Steve Kenda for Bedford, NH State Representative. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which is to say Steve is a reasonably sharp guy. For over a quarter of a century Steve has been a successful leader and pragmatic businessman. We need more of that in Concord. Steve opposes ALL broad-based taxes including income and sales taxes. He believes such taxes lead to endless profligate spending on costly pet social programs and diminish prospective future economic growth for our great Granite state. Steve believes that while guidelines may be crafted in Concord, issues such as school opening decisions, zoning regulations and policing policies to keep our children safe, should be decided at the local town level; positions opposed by ALL democrats in Concord. Steve also believes that the regulatory environment must remain business-friendly so as to attract high quality businesses that will allow Bedford and New Hampshire to retain the talent we shepherd through our post-secondary school system.

Steve will not run as a conservative and shift left to “get along.” Steve will stand fast and espouse his and our fiscally conservative values. On social issues I expect Steve to vote his conscience. He is a good man and will apply the same reason and thoughtfulness that has allowed him to be the successful businessman he has been throughout his entire career. In short, Steve is a compassionate pragmatist. Steve is a common-sense fiscal conservative who I believe will hold his ground where others have not. Please vote for Steve Kenda for State Representative on Nov. 3.
