Dear N.H. citizens

By Katharine Gage - Windham | Oct 24, 2020

I am a senior in high school and last year I volunteered to put a climate resolution up for vote in Windham’s Town Meeting. This is part of a state-wide, volunteer effort called the Carbon Cash-Back Coalition. Last year twenty-eight towns passed the resolution, and we hope to include more towns this year. This is a great way to show our leaders that we want them to take action on climate change.

I would really appreciate it if you could help this effort by putting the resolution in your town’s spring 2021 election. A sample warrant article petition for a New Hampshire Resolution to Take Action on Climate Pollution is available on the files page of carboncashback.org, where you can also find more information about the effort. To put the resolution in your election, you just make a copy for your town, collect 25 signatures, and turn it in to your Town Hall. This can be done online or through the mail.

Please consider joining me in this effort! It is time for citizens to work together to help our leaders address climate change. You can send an email to carboncashbackcoalition@gmail.com with your phone number and town to get started.
