A solution for climate change

By Megan Pardoe - Nashua | Oct 10, 2020

It is no secret that President Trump refuses to believe the science behind climate change and the drastic effects it will cause if not properly treated. Not only has the President directly denied the scientists behind climate change but he had also put forth policies that reduce protections placed on green house gas emissions, drilling, and the protection of wildlife.

Michael Mann, one the leading climate experts recently stated that “A second Trump term is game over for the climate – really!”. What he is stating is that if the American people re-elect President Trump, his anti-climate change policies will continue. After another four years of this it will be nearly impossible to reach carbon emissions goals.

Currently the Paris Climate Accords states that all nations need to lower emissions to allow the overall temperature of the Earth to fall back 1.5 degrees Celsius. This goal will help lower the warming of the planet and slow the affects of climate change. President Trump pulled out of this agreement in July of 2017.

The United States need to be a leader in climate policies and the protection of the environment. Currently with President Trump we present the view of climate deniers who refuse to listen to science and do our part to protect the planet.
