Support Peter Petrigno

By Gertrude Morgan - Milford | Oct 3, 2020

When I first met Peter Petrigno in the spring of 2018, he was considering running for State Representative from Milford. All I knew about him then was that several years before, he had been named New Hampshire’s Teacher of the Year. I’m especially aware of how great an honor this is, having been a public school teacher myself. Awardees not only possess great teaching skills, but they have demonstrated the ability to work well with people from all backgrounds, and not just students, but their colleagues and parents as well. And, as you would expect, they also have a strong commitment to excellence in education.

Peter was victorious in 2018 and has gone on to ably serve Milford. One of his goals had been to bring property tax relief to his constituents, and in the last state budget, which covered 2019 and 2020, the Democratic majority was able to return to Milford $378,645.00 in municipal aid and $2,140,540.00 in educational funding. The Milford property tax rate went down for the first time in more than ten years. Though retired from teaching, our Teacher of the Year could not only be counted on to fulfill a commitment to taxpayers, but he came through for our kids as well!

As you drive down Peter’s street in Milford, you see one Petrigno yard sign after another. Surely, not all his neighbors are Democrats; rather, the signs are a testament to his ability to understand people with differing views and to work with them for the greater good. Milford voters would be wise to return Peter Petrigno to the New Hampshire House of Representatives for a second term.
