Not worthy of re-election

By Charter Weeks - Barrington | Oct 3, 2020

Gov. Chris Sununu’s original response to the COVID crisis was quite responsible. Then he must have caught Trump fever. He opened up the state way to expansively without meaningful protections for our citizens, The evidence is overwhelming that places that mandate masks have lower transmission rates.

The importance of masks was clarified last week by the head of the CDC.

On Friday afternoon, we watch north bound traffic streaming into the state from paces with much higher infection rates. They shop in convenience stores, hardware stores, and grocery stores.

When individuals claim it is “their right” not to wear masks, they are claiming it is their right to potentially infect and or kill others such as parents, children, or strangers like me, but no one objects to the sign that says “no shoes, no shirt, no service” What’s wrong with “No Masks No Service?”

When it comes to infectious disease, a risk to anyone is risk to everyone.

Many states have enacted far more stringent requirements than NH including mandatory masks and group size limitations as few as 10 people.

Sununu has chosen Trump voters and re-election over the safety and wellbeing of New Hampshire citizens and, as such, does not deserve re-election.
