It’s time to stop being controlled

By Donald Scott - Nashua | Sep 19, 2020

I hope that the Aldermen don’t pass another mask ordinance. This is something they should not have gotten into in the first place. Have to admit, I have not paid much attention to them before, but I am now. If they can’t find something better to do than to try imposing their will on the rest of the people who live here then we should seriously think about electing a different group of Aldermen. People are trying to find some hope that we are coming out of the coronavirus nightmare of the last six months and these people are trying to go backwards. Either that or they think we are all so stupid that it is up to them to force us to take precautions. There isn’t even any hard proof that face masks do that much good. The Mayor himself seems to be hardly ever without one and he just got the virus. So it really did him a lot of good, right? In a free society, we should have the choice of what measures to take to protect ourselves or others from getting a disease. The government can’t guarantee that we are never going to get sick from a contagious disease, although some people would like to think they should, but they never could and never will. It’s time to stop being controlled by a virus and politicians and get on with our lives.
