See you soon

By Casey Holt - Nashua | Sep 12, 2020

According to the latest published figures, Nashua’s rates of infection and death due to COVID-19 are far lower than the state’s average. In fact, they are on par (just under a hundredth of a percent higher) with rates in the Czech Republic, which has among the lowest rates in the world.

What do the two places have in common? Minor inconveniences are being set aside as the majority of people wear face coverings when and where asked to, and generally observe good social distancing practices.

If you read the news from abroad, though, you may know that Czechia recently experienced a slight rise in cases, concurrent with a relaxation of health directives, which are now tightening again. New lessons are being learned every day.

Kudos to the mayor, city health officials, the board of aldermen, the business sector, and the people of Nashua for continuing to use science, and imagination, to make the best of a bad situation.

I look forward to seeing many of you again soon,
