Re-elect Rosemarie Rung

By Brian & Pauline Landrigan - Merrimack | Aug 29, 2020

We are writing this letter to endorse Rosemarie Rung for re-election to the NH House as a Merrimack state rep. Rosemarie has a long history of advocacy for children and families which we appreciate.

Among the legislation she sponsored and helped get passed this year are the PFAs regulations to reduce the state’s maximum contaminant levels of these toxins to levels that are more protective of our families. She was also instrumental supporting the bill to set up a fund helping towns like Merrimack finance the cost of PFAs filtration and doubling fines and penalties for air and water polluters.

Despite the governor trying to take credit for finally taking down the exit 11 toll booths, it was Rosemarie and other democrats in the Senate that led that charge. While many of her Republican counterparts were highly supportive of business interests (at the cost of individuals and families), Rosemarie was a beacon of persistence working on behalf of working people.

Politics today seems to be highly toxic with little room for compromise or even for civility. A number of our friends wonder aloud why we don’t have politicians like “the old days” where they could put aside differences, negotiate and create legislation that helped everyone. Rosemarie is just that politician. All of her proposed bills in the House were co-sponsored by her and her peers “across the aisle.” We have to look no further than our own backyard to recognize … and send back to the State House … a politician we can all be proud of.

Please join us in supporting Rosemarie Rung for re-election as state rep from Merrimack.
