Why I’m voting volinsky
If you’re like me and plan to vote blue in this year’s elections, you might think that showing up in November and picking Chris Sununu’s opponent is all you need to do. While I certainly recommend that, there is more work that needs to be done in the meantime. Before we get to November, we have to cast our ballots (absentee if you like) in the Democratic Primary on Sept. 8. Though just about any Democrat would be better than Chris Sununu, the truth is they are not all created equal. For me, the choice is clear: Andru Volinsky is the right person for the job. His pledge to lower property taxes and his commitment to combating climate change by saying no to the proposed Granite Bridge fracked-gas pipeline are enough to set him apart from his opponent, but they aren’t the only ways he is different. Andru’s refusal to take any corporate PAC money, as opposed to his competition, is a clear indication of where his allegiances lie. Andru will not be bought by anyone and he will always work to give a voice to the people of New Hampshire. These are the issues that are important to me, but I assure you that if you take the time to learn more about Andru and his ideas, you won’t be disappointed. I hope you’ll join me in voting Volinsky on (or before) Sept. 8!
