I serve as the primary caregiver to my elderly mother who suffers from Crohn’s Disease and other ailments associated with her age. She has become fully dependent upon me for her basic needs, a responsibility which has only increased since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of this virus I need to make sure I am doing everything I can to protect myself so I don’t accidentally bring this virus home to her, which has been very stressful.

Fortunately, the local pharmacies and medical equipment providers that I rely on have been there for us from the beginning. New Hampshire’s strong medical supply chain has ensured that despite the ongoing pandemic, patients will not have to do without the critical care they need. Our state’s wholesale distributors, who keep the supply chain running safely and securely, have upheld their commitment to hospitals, doctors, pharmacies and even caregivers so that each are fully equipped with the medicines and treatments they and their patients rely on.

Despite all of the uncertainty brought on by this pandemic, our state’s health care distributors have been there for us and give me confidence that I’ll never be without the medications or treatments that I need to take care of my mother. Their work is critical to our state’s COVID-19 response and I couldn’t be more grateful.
