Gouveia right for Nashua

By Jacob Shairs - Former Chairman, New Hampshire Federation of College Republicans | Jun 27, 2020

Normally, when a twenty-two-year-old is running for State Representative, it is their first stop in the political realm, their first taste of what it means to understand and lead in the Granite State. That is not the case for State Representative Candidate in Nashua Ward 9, Tyler Gouveia, who has quite the history in New Hampshire, a history that makes him the right choice for his district. Tyler has worked on a plethora of campaigns and has become well known throughout the state as someone who does right by his community, someone who speaks his mind, and someone who can lead on a daily basis. We need younger Representatives like Tyler in the state house.

I have come to know Tyler in many different capacities, working with him on the Steve Negron for Congress campaign in the 2018 cycle and aiding him as the New Hampshire Federation of College Republican Chair when he was running Victoria Sullivan’s Mayoral campaign in Manchester in 2019. He has worked countless hours in the Nashua community and is quick to call out fiscal irresponsibility at City Hall. More importantly, I have come to know Tyler personally as a man who never caves on his values of fiscal conservatism and someone who can navigate the world from a new point of view.

The Granite State needs new blood in the state house; we need people who can bring the next generation of Republican leadership into our legislature. I trust Tyler to do so, and I urge the voters of Nashua to do so as well. Nashua needs a Representative like Tyler, New Hampshire needs a Representative like Tyler Gouveia.
