PBS must be fair to conservatives

By Paul Hutsteiner - | Jun 20, 2020

The Public Broadcast System is supposed to be just that, public. Half of us in America are Conservatives, but most PBS broadcasts give only the progressive’s viewpoints. Media broadcasts are often editorial opinions disguised as news– as they decline to discuss many of the pertinent facts and issues. This puts us all at a real disadvantage since TV shapes the political opinions of a great many Americans.

We need to hold PBS accountable to the 50 percent of Americans who are Conservatives. On any controversial or political issue each side should be given an equal opportunity to present their best spokesman for the issue being reported on. For longer shows like Point Of View, equal time should be given at a later date so that a conservative organization can provide their video on the subject. When PBS airs stories about gun control, immigration, civil rights, etc, we should be allowed to hear from organizations like The Heritage Foundation, Hillsdale College, Judicial Watch, the NRA, Gun Owners of America, or the NRA, not just people from the Democratic Party or the BLM movement.
