Clean bill should have been passed

By Joseph Ross - Nashua | Mar 29, 2020

Once again, we find absolute proof that our representatives don’t care about the people … especially those suffering financially and otherwise, from the coronavirus.

Recognizing the need for a massive bill from the government to help everyone, our representatives follow the dictate of “don’t let a crisis go to waste.” Instead of advocating and passing a clean bill offering relief to our citizens, the earlier versions of the bill (which did not pass), had funding for Planned Parenthood, among other things that have nothing to do with the current problem.

Similarly, the current bill, passed by the Senate and waiting for the House (which ultimately passed) as this is written, is also advocating for items that have nothing to do with helping people. It is obvious that our elected representatives care only for what is best for themselves and their political interests, and to Hell with the people who need the help.

Just so no one can accuse me of going behind anyone’s back, I am forwarding this letter to all our so-called representatives in the state.

How refreshing it would be if they did what they should do – pass a clean bill.
