Today, the president paid a visit to the CDC. Trump has spent three years taking the hatchet to all those government agencies that many people have not heard of and perhaps don’t care about – the EPA, FCC, CDC, etc. He has slashed budgets and appointed unqualified toadies to run them. Now, with COVID-19, we are finding out that sometimes government agencies really do matter. We are way behind China and South Korea in testing, and we find ourselves ill-equipped and unprepared.

Today, Trump had a spark of leadership, and went to visit the CDC, but even then he made it a campaign stop and chose to wear that stupid red MAGA hat. November cannot come too soon!
