Support HB 763
New Hampshire had at least six climate strikes last Friday. Hundreds of people attended, ranging from school children to people in their 90s.
It is clear that New Hampshire wants to move away from fossil fuels. Here is one BIPARTISAN way to do that: Support the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (HB 763). This act charges the producers of fossil fuels a fee. All of the net proceeds are then divided up and provided to American households, equally per person, as a monthly “carbon dividend.” About 58 percent of taxpayers would receive more in their dividend payments than higher energy prices would cost them.
This act is EFFECTIVE: It will reduce America’s emissions by at least 40% in the first 12 years.
This act is GOOD FOR PEOPLE: it reduces pollution that we breather.
This act is GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY: It will create 2.1 million new jobs
This act is BIPARTISAN: Republicans and Democrats are both co-sponsoring this bill together.
