Mitch McConnell’s abdication

By David F. Yeaton - Nashua | Sep 29, 2019

I am very angry that the so-called leader of the U.S. Senate, Mitch McConnell, stands before the Senate and informs them he is waiting for the president to tell him what to do concerning gun control.

McConnell announced this past week, as reported by the Associated Press on Sept. 17, “I still await guidance from the White House as to what (Trump) thinks he’s comfortable signing.

McConnell’s statement is a complete abdication of his responsibilities of his office.

McConnell should be promoting and processing gun legislation and submitting it to the president for his review and action, not waiting for the president to tell him what to do.

Fellow senators should censure McConnell for this action and remove him from office. Fellow New Hampshire residents are encouraged to express their opinions on this subject now.
