Nashua’s hidden gem

By Robert B. Cummings - Nashua | May 19, 2019

My wife and I are frequent diners availing ourselves of Nashua’s many eating establishments. Being empty nesters, we have entered into this enjoyable–though regretful–period of our lives. One of several area restaurants we popularize is The Arbor Restaurant located at 57 Palm St., off the downtown area. Formerly housed in the former home of The Batesville Casket Company, and now an apartment complex. Though it may be a little off the beaten path, we feel the The Arbor is essentially Nashua’s hidden gem. We patronize the establishment often and I personally don’t know why diners don’t make the extra effort to partake of all it has to offer. In this day and age of chain restaurants, many of whom do possess quality and affordability, The Arbor offers an excellent alternative to the impersonal “cattle calls” of the chains.

The Arbor offers excellent food, affordable pricing, more than enough food for your money, a charming and quiet ambiance, and a friendly and cordial waitstaff who will take the time to cater to each individual’s needs, without the hustle-and-bustle of the chains. A full bar is also an added amenity, as is a full-functioning function hall facility.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why diners don’t know of this place or make the effort to partake of it’s many charms for a well-balanced meal at affordable prices. Seek it out and try it. You’ll be glad you did.
