Board must take action
Every taxpayer, every citizen, every parent should be saddened by the lack of professionalism and lack of respect shown by board of education members in Nashua.
Members need to listen to each other and the public, as well as to allow free speech without interruption or commentary. Foul language by any member of the board must not be tolerated. Those who do not serve appropriately should be held accountable and swift sanctions imposed.
During 50-plus years in education and special education, I would not even think to act in such a callous and negative manner.
The board of education should take immediate action to correct these deficiencies. They must serve the people and show strong leadership for all who come before them and for all whom they represent.
As far back as the 17th century, civilization has agreed that, “A public office is a public trust.”
We should accept nothing less.
