Sorry, folks: It won’t be over on Nov. 9

By Staff | Oct 30, 2016

It’s a kick that Trump’s recent problems stem from his lack of humility. It’s like a Greek tragedy but without "class."

It is well that The Telegraph’s recent editorial points out the unpatriotic nature of Trump’ slandering of the American voting system and his turning on the same media that originally gave him millions of free publicity while neglecting the message of other potential Republican nominees. Trump plans to have a built-in excuse if he loses or being able to boast that he won "despite a rigged system" if he wins.

Unlike some, I don’t believe this election is a choice between two negatives, but that Hillary Clinton is extremely qualified to be our president, with national and international skills honed by training and by the school of hard-knock experience.

In either case, it won’t be over after Nov. 9. This country has a lot of healing to do, as some of the disenfranchised seem more willing to align with the racist than believe that they can have an effective voice in the current system.

Which choice will you make? Are you a citizen of this country or so disheartened that you are willing to just be a passenger? If you think a third party will salvage your conscience, be sure to actually listen to what the individuals representing that third party have actually said.

We must all ask ourselves how we can open dialogue from the viewpoint of our mutual interests.
