Ayotte needs to step down from the GOP

By Staff | Oct 23, 2016

As volunteers sacrificing our time away from our home, families and rest from work, we contribute hundreds of hours each toward our presidential nominee. So what does it say about the character of our senator when she directly implies New Hampshire volunteers are wrong?

I became disillusioned when the senator elected to announce that she would vote for our party’s presidential nominee but not endorse him. Does the senator surreptitiously seek the vote of Donald Trump’s supporters while cautiously seeking the votes of those who oppose him?

The end game came when the senator chose to announce her intention to vote "against" Mr. Trump, sabotaging the hard work of New Hampshire volunteers, deciding for us not to forgive Mr. Trump’s decades-old sins as a Christian, while surely aware only God can forgive sin (Mark 2; Luke 5).

Is the senator a Christian also in name only? This may be called a deceptive business practice, and I personally do not like being cynically recycled as a volunteer or for my vote by my senator. I believe it is time for the senator to step down as New Hampshire’s republican nominee.
