I support Dan Weeks for District 5 executive councilor. This convoluted district stretches from Nashua west to Jaffrey, and winds northwest from Litchfield to Dunbarton and Hillsborough. Dan is young – only 33 – and he and his wife have twins, born this past May. New Hampshire government needs young people interested in New Hampshire’s future.

Dan’s willing to invest his time and energy to help move New Hampshire forward with economic development, healthcare for all, clean energy and good governance.

His opponent’s record on the Executive Council is characterized by voting "No" to most everything, not returning phone calls or emails to his constituents and generally wanting to keep New Hampshire in the last century.

Well, the world is changing rapidly, and states like New Hampshire that don’t embrace the future and don’t embrace change will continue to fall further behind in their economic, social, and environmental stature as desirable places to live.

We need Dan’s energy and young thinking to enhance and grow New Hampshire’s future. New Hampshire is already one of the oldest states and young people are needed to drive our state’s economic engine. Dan’s love of kids, community and the future will help bring fresh ideas to our state.
