Clinton is the most qualified candidate

By Staff | Jan 20, 2016

Every four years, New Hampshire residents get the opportunity to view the presidential candidates in person. You can learn more about a candidate in person than by following the political circus on television. I took advantage of the opportunity to see Hillary Clinton twice in town-hall environments. She impressed me by her willingness to answer any and all questions. It was obvious that her responses were not canned but were well-thought-out and knowledgeable. President Bill Clinton’s speech in Nashua detailed Hillary’s history and accomplishments.

As a senior with ADHD, it is sometimes difficult for me to handle new social situations. However, I fear what a Republican president would do by rolling back health care and women’s rights. This has prompted me to get out of my comfort zone and do something. When I went to the Hillary for President headquarters in Nashua, I met a small army of young volunteers from all over the country who were very welcoming. They were knocking on doors and calling voters daily.

Inspired by their youthful idealism, I volunteered to make myself useful behind the scenes. In this difficult time, we need a president who can take over the reins of government on Day One. While I also like Bernie Sanders, I feel that Hillary Clinton is uniquely qualified to deal with foreign and domestic policy. Her work in the State Department gives her better insights on how to negotiate with foreign leaders. I believe that she has the best qualifications for office.
