Don’t be fooled by Brown’s candidacy

By Staff | Oct 29, 2014

Surely, Scott Brown cannot believe he can so easily dupe New Hampshire residents after being rejected by Massachusetts. He cannot hide his true record, experience and beliefs. After living and working in Massachusetts all his life, how can he possibly think he knows New Hampshire just because he has some house in New Hampshire? The Republican Party agenda is now effectively controlled by tea party and extreme right wing ideologues. Scott Brown cannot escape from the party platform he supported during his last tenure. This is largely based on intolerance, anti-choice for women and minorities, shipping immigrants (both illegal and some legal, if they have their way) home, even more transfer of wealth from the have-nots to the haves, more anti-free market and anti-true free speech by treating money as speech.

Jeanne Shaheen has been good for New Hampshire and what we stand for in this state. The economic and health care policies she supported have not only prevented us from slipping into a deep recession rivaling the Great Depression of the 1930s, but helped the economy thrive and made the U.S. economy the envy of the world once again. The health care initiatives certainly helped improve employee productivity and business profits. Compare that with the European economic policies based on austerity which Scott Brown has supported.

We should re-elect Jeanne Shaheen and reject Scott Brown, a Massachusetts reject.
