Tour of Parkway site was encouraging

By Staff | Aug 6, 2014

Last week, I was pleased to see Sen. Jeanne Shaheen tour the Broad Street parkway in Nashua with state Sens. Peggy Gilmour and Bette Lasky, Mayor Donnalee Lozeau and other local officials. It is refreshing to know that elected officials not only analyze policy before casting their votes, but follow up on the progress of local projects their votes affect.

Currently, one-third of New Hampshire’s bridges are classified as either structurally deficient or functionally obsolete, and more than 2 million people travel across them on an average day. The importance of transportation funding initiatives cannot be overstated for attracting businesses to New Hampshire, and I’m thrilled our representatives understand that necessity.

Thank you, Sens Shaheen, Gilmour and Lasky for your tireless efforts on behalf of New Hampshire.
