Kuster not “tricked” into being rude

By Staff | Dec 17, 2013

Bravo to The Telegraph for letting voters know that U.S. Rep. Ann Kuster acted like a “deer in the headlights” and refused to answer a politely asked question about the Benghazi attacks. (“Video of Kuster: How bad was it? Dec. 12)

As one of the few people to attend her Middle East forum in Manchester, I’d like to share what didn’t get captured in the YouTube video.

After insisting that Libya was not in the Middle East – a “dog ate my homework” excuse for not answering a question – she abruptly walked out of the forum without comment or explanation.

After the event, the moderator told me that the event had already been scheduled to end at that time. But I’m not buying it.

Politics aside, Congresswoman Kuster was not “tricked” into being rude. Her constituents deserve better, and so do the families of four murdered Americans – murdered for being American.
