Time to replace the Democrats

By Staff | Nov 19, 2013

President Barack Obama last week attempted to fix the Affordable Care Act law with an administrative edict. We can debate the legality of the president’s attempt some other time, but he has since announced he will veto any legal attempt to change the law by congressional approval. The later message makes it clear that the president doesn’t care about your insurance plan – only his legacy and an attempt to protect Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Reps. Carol Shea-Porter and Anne Kuster, all of whom either voted for this abomination or have voted against all attempts to fix it in the past.

In truth, there is no way to “fix” Obamacare. It is rotten to the core and does not work. It is time to cast it aside, lock, stock and barrel, so real reforms can be designed. Who wants to be the last American to lose his or her insurance coverage so Barack Obama can feel good about himself and Democrats can eke out a few midterm election victories? Remember, our three legislators all support this train wreck and some have from day one.

The only way the people who will pay for this mess (so far it has cost us over $600 million) can have a say in what happens to this law is to replace our Democratic legislators. We need to fire Shaheen, Shea-Porter and Kuster in 2014. They do not represent you and me, they do what Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama tell them to do. Period.
