Protest ‘carry’ laws instead
There was a time when one of the benefits of a “state” government (as opposed to a tribe or clan) was the mitigation of conflict between unrelated strangers. By allowing citizens to carry concealed or unconcealed weapons the “state” implies that it is no longer willing or able to prevent violence between its citizens. Groups are protesting about the Zimmerman case outcome, they should have protested the enactment of the “carry” laws instead.
