Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down

By Staff | Mar 20, 2021

Editor’s note: During the course of a week, issues are covered that might not lend themselves to full editorial comment, but they are worthy of The Sunday Telegraph weighing in – thumbs up, thumbs down or neutral.

Thumbs Up – To Gov. Chris Sununu, who said Thursday that all New Hampshire adults will be eligible for the coronavirus vaccine in a matter of weeks. “We don’t have a firm date on that but it really is just weeks away that any adult citizen in the state of New Hampshire will be able to go to VINI and sign up for their vaccine,” he said. “Things are very progressing very, very quickly here in the state.” The state started vaccinations with health care workers and other groups, followed by those ages 65 and up and those with multiple medical conditions. Eligibility expanded last week to include school and child care workers, and anyone age 50 years and older can start signing up Monday. A new registration system went online Wednesday, and more than 10,000 people signed up in the first 24 hours, Sununu said. This is, of course, good and welcomed news for all residents. The sooner everyone is vaccinated, the sooner life can return to normal in the Granite State. Let’s hope there are no hitches in the process.
