Linda (St. Lawrence) Crowell

Linda (St. Lawrence) Crowell, of Nashua New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, with her family by her side. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and friend, whose presence will be deeply missed.

The first daughter born to the late Neil and Dolores St. Lawrence, in Bangor, ME on April 6, 1959. She was the beloved wife of Jon Crowell, with whom she had just celebrated 46 years of marriage this past June.

Linda was a graduate of Nashua Senior High School, class of 1978, threw her cap up, never looked back and lived life to the fullest. She found joy in the simple things in life and, above all else, in the people she loved and cared about. Those characteristics made her extremely successful in the professions she chose. For many years, Linda was a professional Bridal Consultant in Nashua, where she made many brides beam as the result of her kind and spirited personality, doting on them endlessly, making them feel like a million bucks! For anyone who has been a bride reading this, you know that is no easy feat! From there she transitioned to becoming the Site Director for the 21st Century after school program at Dr. Crisp Elementary School in Nashua. She dedicated hours to ensure the kids had everything they needed, and more. She was very loving and nurturing and made a visible impact on the lives of the kids in the program. No child ever went without a snack, a coat, or a hug from “Miss Linda”.

Upon retiring from 21st Century, she took a part-time job at TJ Maxx. Although she constantly said, “I have nothing to wear”, she was by far the fashionista in the family. Always looking smart, trendy, and ready for FUN! Then came her best job ever, becoming a “Grammy” to her 4 grandchildren that she simply loved and adored like no other. They brought her the most joy, and she enjoyed every moment spent with them. She could often be found taking them on shopping trips, enjoying a sweet treat together, cheering them on during dance recitals, basketball games, playing with blocks, feeding bottles, and changing diapers. She loved it all!

Nothing made Linda prouder than her children. She loved watching them grow and was endlessly proud of the people they became. All her children and grandchildren held an especially precious place in her heart, and the love she had for them was more than words could ever describe. At the end of the day, Linda wanted what so many of us want, to give love, to be loved, and to know that she was there for the people who mattered most. She leaves behind memories of someone who cared deeply, and found happiness in making others feel cared for.

She was an avid WNBA supporter and a true Celtics fan, so now she has front row seats for every game, living her best after life pain free, and enjoying an ice-cold diet coke! Family get togethers are forever changed, but no doubt, she will make her presence known, continue to bring her wit, and make all of us smile as we reminisce.

In addition to Jon, Linda’s loving family includes her two sons, her daughter, and their families. Andrew Crowell and daughter-in-law Stefni, along with her granddaughters, Kyli and Maddi Crowell, Neil Crowell, McKenzie Griffin and son-in-law Dan, along with her two grandsons, Danny and Caden Griffin, all of Nashua, NH. Her siblings: Steve St. Lawrence, Tom St. Lawrence and sister-in-law Claire, John St. Lawrence and sister-in-law Sherri, and Julie Martin and brother-in-law Kelly. Linda also leaves behind her sister in-law, Martha Nadeau. A very special aunt, Roberta Day, and three special cousins; Kimberly Caffe, Karen Howorth, and Kathy Daigle. Several loved and adored niece and nephews; Sarah St. Lawrence, Steven Nadeau (Ursula), Jason Aselin (Gina), Ryan St. Lawrence (Kim), AJ St. Lawrence (Danielle), Tyler Martin (Olivia) Cody Martin (Taylor), and Scott St. Lawrence (Tess).

A celebration of life will be held at Alpine Grove in Hollis NH, on Friday October 30th at 4pm. Tributes from family members will begin promptly at 4:30pm, with a casual social hour and informal tributes immediately following. Wearing your favorite Celtics gear is encouraged. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd., Merrimack NH. 03054 in Linda’s memory.
