Richard P. Skorb

Richard P. Skorb, 88, a lifelong resident of Nashua, passed away Monday evening, September 14, 2026 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born in Nashua on September 23, 1937, he was a son of the late William and Anna (Ashey) Skorb. Richard was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1955 and attended the former Lowell Technical Institute, now part of the University of Massachusetts. A Navy veteran, Mr. Skorb served a tour of duty during the 1950s.

Richard was employed as a draftsman beginning with Improved Machinery and the IMPCO Division of Ingersoll Rand for many years. He also worked for a time at the former International Paper Box Machine Company.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening and making puzzles.

Richard loved spending time watching his grandchildren playing sports.

Members of his family include his wife, Jeanne A. (Boucher) Skorb, whom he married on February 7, 1959 and shared over 68 years together; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Daniel Latham; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Linda Skorb; five grandchildren, Joshua Latham and his wife Amy, Jacob Latham and his fiancée Carolynn, Jeremiah Latham, Lauren O’Neil and her husband Will, and Austin Skorb; a great-granddaughter, Rosalyn O’Neil; two sisters, Jane Michaud and Betty Malbon and her husband Bruce; many nieces and nephews including a special niece whom he was very close, Virginia (Shislo) Prive.

In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel Latham; a sister and two brothers-in-law, Joan and Richard Vienneau and Donald Michaud.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Parish of The Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua, Friday, September 18th at 10 a,m. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 15 Constitution Drive, Suite 1G, Bedford, NH 03110.
