Allen Strange Parker
Allen Strange Parker of Oneida Circle, Nashua, NH died on September 10, 2026, after a brief illness. Allen was born in Springfield, Vermont on April 8, 1945, to Charles L Parker and his late wife Harriet (Strange) Parker. Harriet died within days of Allen’s birth. He was raised in Meredith, NH by Charles and Winona (Ackerman) Parker.
Allen graduated from Brewster Academy, Wolfeboro, NH in 1964. After graduation, he served in the US Air Force for 5 years before locating to Nashua, NH to work at Sanders for more than 30 years.
Allen married Carol (Pillsbury) Parker in 1966. They have two children, Melissa Parker-Christou of Amherst, NH and Joshua Strange Parker of Rindge, NH. Melissa and her husband Christopher Parker-Christou have two children, Mackenzie and Sebastian. Joshua and his “better half”, Stacey Strout, have two fur babies. Allen had a strong relationship with his children and grandchildren and frequently enjoyed car racing, skiing, boating or just visiting with them. He is also survived by members of the Parker, Strange, Ackerman, and Pillsbury families.
He loved to ski and was looking forward to the upcoming season. He also loved to auto cross his ’88 Honda CRX Si. When he wasn’t skiing or auto crossing, he enjoyed trying different restaurants. He told his wife it wasn’t because he didn’t like her cooking, but we all knew the truth.
Allen had few regrets in life. He thought his lifetime warranty should have been forever, minus that pesky word “limited”; he should have had a faster car; and finally, he should have had a better “passenger princess” (one who didn’t tell him to slow down all the time).
He made life-long friends wherever he went, and we would like to thank all who sent well wishes in his final days. He had the opportunity to hear each and every message.
Please join us for Allen’s celebration of life at 14 Old Ashburnham Rd, Rindge, NH 03461 on September 26th from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.
