Barbara Ann (Duval) Chevrette Comolli

Barbara Ann (Duval) Chevrette Comolli, 98, of Nashua, beloved wife of Dr. Arthur E. Comolli, passed peacefully Saturday evening, September 12, 2026 at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson.

A native and lifelong resident of this city, Barbara was born in Nashua on March 22, 1928, the daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret (Devlin) Duval. She grew up in the Crown Hill neighborhood of this city and survived the Crown Hill fire in May of 1930. Educated in local schools, Barbara was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1945 and attended Rivier College now known as Rivier University.

Following her graduation from Nashua High, Barbara was employed as an operator with the New England Telephone Company.

Barbara married her first husband, Louis E. Chevrette in 1948 and shared three years together until his passing in 1951. She then made her home with her loving parents and her young daughter, Margaret.

Barbara and Arthur were married on November 24, 1956 and she enjoyed the following two years during her husband’s military service in the Navy. After returning to Nashua in 1958, Barbara assisted her husband in establishing his dental practice and purchasing dental equipment in 1959 and opened his office in the Clancy & O’Neill PA building on East Pearl Street. Barbara assisted her husband as his receptionist and dental assistant during the early years of his practice. In the early 1960s, Barbara and Arthur were blessed with two more children and she became a full-time mother and homemaker.

The couple enjoyed many Friday night dinners at The Modern Restaurant. Barbara will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and loved by her many friends.

After her husband retired, the Comolli’s enjoyed their winter home in Fort Myers, Florida for 30 years.

Members of her family include her husband, Arthur E. Comolli, DMD, with whom she shared nearly 70 years together; her children, Margaret Gleeson and her husband William, James Comolli and his wife Noemi, and Lisa Bingham and her husband Glynn; five grandchildren, Amelia Guerra, Larisa Comolli, Lauren Roeser and her husband Tyler, Marisa Belt and her husband Michael, and Natalie Bingham; three great-grandchildren, Raymond and Archie Roeser and Luen Guerra; and three nephews, Stephen, Thomas and John Duval.

In addition to her first husband and parents, Barbara was also predeceased by her brother, George Duval and his wife Grace.

Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Tuesday, September 15th from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Road, Nashua, on Wednesday afternoon, September 16th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
