The Reverend Father Leo Armand LeBlanc

The Reverend Father Leo Armand LeBlanc, age 78, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Father Leo was born on March 31, 1948, in Nashua, New Hampshire, the son of Leo and Laura LeBlanc. A graduate of Nashua High School, he studied philosophy at St. Thomas College and earned his Master of Divinity from Saint Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore.

He was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Manchester on May 25, 1974, by the Most Reverend Ernest J. Primeau, S.T.D. at Saint Joseph Cathedral in Manchester.

For more than fifty years, Father Leo faithfully served the Catholic Church and the people of New Hampshire in several parishes, most recently as Pastor of Holy Trinity Parish in Plymouth, where he served for eighteen years until his retirement in 2022.

Father Leo had a lifelong passion for Scouting. An Eagle Scout, he served as United States National Chaplain for the National Catholic Committee on Scouting and later as World Chaplain for the International Catholic Conference of Scouting. His ministry took him to more than forty countries and every continent.

Father Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Laura LeBlanc, and his sister, Elaine Goss.

He is survived by his brother, Donald LeBlanc and his wife, Sara, of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; and his five nephews and two nieces: Matthew (Chantile) Heck of Concord, New Hampshire; Joshua Heck of Belleville, Illinois; Laura (Richard) Coleman of Epping, New Hampshire; Walter (Anna) Goss of Deerfield, New Hampshire; Isaac (Gwen) LeBlanc of Garden City, Kansas; Hannah (Adam) Sturm of Fairfield, Iowa; and Xachary LeBlanc of Mount Pleasant, Iowa. He is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews who will forever cherish their memories of Uncle Leo.

SERVICES: Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH 03064. On Wednesday, September 16, Father LeBlanc will lie in repose at St. Aloysius of Gonzaga Church, 48 W. Hollis Street, starting at 9:00 a.m. The Most Reverend Peter A. Libasci, Bishop of Manchester, will then preside at a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment and the Rite of Committal will be celebrated after the Mass at St Louis de Gonzague Cemetery. The Davis Funeral Home, One Lock St., Nashua, has been placed in charge of arrangements. An online guest book is available at www.davisfuneralhomenh.com.

A memorial Mass will also be celebrated in Father Leo’s honor at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. A breakfast will follow. Kimzey Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.
