Dorothy “Dot” Irene Lessard
Dorothy “Dot” Irene Lessard, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home after being dutifully and lovingly cared for by her daughter and granddaughter on August 27, 2026. She was surrounded by her loving family after courageously battling her illnesses.
Born on November 17, 1937, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Dorothy was the cherished daughter of Albert Dion and Irene (Gravelle) Dion. Dorothy’s life was a beautiful testament to love, resilience, and devotion to family. She married the love of her life, Arthur Albert Lessard, on February 23, 1970. Together, they built a life rich in love and laughter until Arthur’s passing. She now joins him, her parents, and her brothers Roger, Robert, and Raymond Dion, as well as her cousins Susan and Robert Jr, who predeceased her.
Dorothy’s legacy lives on through her daughter, Laura, her grandchildren, Daniel and Alicia, and her two great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Dorothy was a devoted member of the Nashua Seventh-Day Adventist Church for over 20 years, Dorothy’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone she encountered, and her spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Dorothy had a passion for gardening, finding peace and beauty among her vegetable and flower gardens. She had an enduring love for music, especially the timeless tunes of Elvis Presley and other oldies, often filling her home with song. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the world’s beauty, visiting places like the enchanting gardens of Strawberry Banke, and traveling with her family and close friends. She also had a great love for all the pets she homed in her almost 89 years of being a lifelong Nashua resident.
Relatives and friends are invited to Dorothy’s visitation on WEDNESDAY, September 16th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Service will be held on THURSDAY, September 17th at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Her interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
