Sharon Emery Chapman

Sharon Emery Chapman, 68, passed away in her home on July 18, 2026 in Ocala, Florida.

She was born Sharon Lynn Emery on February 28, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Sandra & John Emery.

At an early age, the family moved to Fort Washington, PA where she attended Upper Dublin Schools, graduating in 1976 and achieved a bachelor’s degree in Retail Management from Purdue University in 1980.

She married Arlen Chapman on May 11, 1985 and spent 37 years supporting her husband throughout 2 deployments during his military career.

Sharon had a long career at Raytheon for over 20 years, retiring as a Supply Chain Senior Manager. While supporting her family and working full-time, she completed her master’s degree in Supply Chain from University of San Diego in 2007.

She was an active member at Main Street Methodist Church in Nashua, NH for years, dedicating countless hours of volunteer work supporting the Nashua Soup Kitchen. She later became a member of Ocala West United Methodist Church when she moved to Florida.

Throughout the last 12 years, her faithful companion Brady the Wonder Dog was never far from her side. Sharon is predeceased by her mother Sandra Emery. She is survived by her father John Emery, her sister Kathy Emery King, of Ocala, FL, her brother David Emery, of Philadelphia, PA, and her two wonderful children with spouses: Allison Chapman & Robbert-Jan Sweerts in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and Matthew & Ashley Chapman in Hollywood, FL.

A celebration of life will be held at the Ocala West United Methodist Church on November 1st at 2pm.
