Redding Thompson

Redding Thompson was born in North Carolina in 1927. He received a B. S. in Civil Engineering at North Carolina State University in 1948 and an M. S. in Engineering Management at Drexel University in 1963.

Mr. Thompson worked in electronics research and development continuing into management and administration at Melpar, RCA and Lockheed-Sanders.

In 1985 he established Thompson Consulting and also taught technology management courses for several years in the Graduate School of Business, Rivier College, Nashua.

He served two terms on active duty, with the United States Merchant Marines and as a second lieutenant in the U. S. Army.

In Nashua, he was a member of Rotary and had been director of Child and Family Services of New Hampshire.

A life-long Methodist, at Main Street United Methodist Church Redding had been lay leader. He also served in many Church capacities on councils, committees, groups, as well as teaching church school at elementary and adult levels.

Redding was predeceased by his wife Louise and one son. He is survived by three sons, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
