Helen St. Onge

Sep 2, 2026

Helen St. Onge, 98, a former resident of the Nashua area, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026 while under Hospice care at Golden View Nursing Home in Meredith, NH.

She was born in 1927, in the High Bridge area of Greenville, NH, daughter of Elmer Buzzell and Corinne Duval. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore St. Onge, and her four siblings, Wilfred Buzzell, Doris Gagnon, Rita Bougie, and Beatrice Langelier. Several nieces and a nephew survive her.

She met her husband in Nashua, NH, where they were married. They lived in Nashua most of their married life until 2003, when they moved to a 55+ condo development at the Village of Reeds Brook in Hudson, NH, where her sister had also recently moved.

During their married life, Helen and Ted shared many memories enjoying the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, hiking small mountains, and spending summers vacationing at Newfound Lake, NH.

She retired after 30 years of working in the Accounting Department at Nashua Corporation, where her husband had also worked for many years.

During her early life, Helen was a talented seamstress, making many of her own clothes, including her own simple but lovely wedding dress. She enjoyed machine-sewing quilts, as well as crocheting and knitting afghans, which she gifted to her nieces. In her later life, her favorite pastime was completing jigsaw puzzles, which entertained her for many hours, especially after she moved to All American Assisted Living in Londonderry, NH.

A private graveside service will be held.
