Cynthia E. (Smith) Bruttaniti

Cynthia E. (Smith) Bruttaniti, 77, of Nashua, widow of William Bruttaniti, Sr., passed away early Thursday morning, August 20, 2026 at Mount Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester, after a period of declining health.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on August 7, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Arthur F. and Lorraine D. (Fortin) Smith. Cynthia grew up in Chelmsford and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School Class of 1967.

Cynthia worked as an administrative assistant for various schools and colleges for many years.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking and entertaining, reading the Bible and attending her church. An avid traveler, Cynthia visited Greece, Hawaii, California, Florida, Washington State, Iowa and Canada.

Cynthia and her husband Bill were married in Chelmsford, MA on August 28, 1971 and shared over 39 years together until his passing on May 13, 2011. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Cheryl Dube and Beverly Jasalavich; and her brother, Arthur F. Smith, Jr.

Members of her family include her son, William Bruttaniti, Jr. and his wife, Alexandra; her grandson, Alexander Bruttaniti; brothers-in-law, Marc Dube and Thomas Jasalavich; her sister-in-law, Ann Smith; also nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Tuesday, August 25th from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua, Wednesday, August 26th at 10 a.m. Friends are invited to attend.
