Pauline E Marquis

Pauline E Marquis, age 82, passed away July 24, 2026, following a period of declining health.

Pauline was born in Nashua on September 8, 1943, a daughter of the late Jeannette (Levesque) and Romeo J Marquis.

Pauline was truly one of a kind. Living in Nashua her whole life, she had so many stories of this wonderful city. From working at the Cinema and serving popcorn, to walking downtown in her heels all dolled up, to having dinner at the Modern or Howard Johnsons, or shopping at Millers, there was always a tale to be told. She loved to ride around town and tell us where everyone once lived, or what used to be there or has since changed.

In her younger years Pauline loved to travel. Her highlight trip was the one she made to Paris. But beyond that she traveled to New York, DC, Montreal, Maine, and sometimes a quick trip to Keene to visit family.

Some of Pauline’s favorite pastimes, were those times spent with her nephews and nieces, specifically trips to Boston to the JKF Library, Museum of Science, the Swan and Duck Boats, lunch at Faneuil Hall and a stop into her favorite jeweler. More recently, trips with her family to Quebec and Florida made for lasting memories that those of us remaining will not soon forget.

Pauline’s home was always available to anyone who may need it. She welcomed everyone with open arms. Always ready to lend a hand, watch a movie with the kids, sit and chat, or go grab a meal across the street (at Pine Street Eatery). She loved being in good company and she reciprocated the love and kindness she received.

Pauline was a best friend, a godmother, an aunt, a great aunt, a great great aunt, and a cousin that will be sorely missed.

Pauline is survived by two nephews William P. Warrington and his wife Susan, and James L. Warrington. Her adored great nieces Tiffany Holmes and her wife Megan, Christine DeCampo, and Kendra Paul; adored great nephew Raymond Paul Jr; four special great, great nephews Mason Lee and Lincoln Richard DeCampo & Cooper William and Jaydan Michael Holmes; Several dear cousins and many treasured friends.

She was pre-deceased by her parents Jeanette and Romeo Marquis, her sisters Claire Warrington (Paul Warrington) and Lareine Marquis.

Pauline was a communicant of St. Louis De Gonzague Parish in Nashua.

And in case you were wondering what Pauline might say right about now, she would tell you “Be happy! Love you More!”. In her honor, please consider having a bowl of ice cream with chocolate syrup, whipped cream and walnuts.

SERVICES: There are no visiting hours. Family and friends are invited to attend committal prayers on Wednesday, August 5th at 11:30 AM at St. Louis Cemetery, 752 West Hollis St., Nashua.
