Norman R. Boudreau

Norman Robert Boudreau, 83, of Merrimack and formerly of Nashua, passed away early Thursday morning, July 23, 2026, after a period of declining health.

A native of Nashua, Norman was born on June 4, 1943, son of the late Normand Alfred and Marie Lucille (Demanche) Boudreau.

Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1962 and furthered his education at Saint Anselm’s College, where he studied law enforcement. Norman also attended Babson College, studying command training and the FBI National Academy, where he received special tactical firearms training.

Norman began his career with the Nashua Police Department in 1966 as a Patrolman and Detective. He became a Lieutenant in 1978 and was later promoted to Night Shift Detective in 1981. During his years with the Nashua Police, Norman founded the first Swat Team. He later worked for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department for several years until his retirement in 2010.

In his leisure time, Norman enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and golf.

Members of his family include his wife, Christine L. (Jordan) Boudreau, whom he married on April 18, 1980 and shared over 46 years together; also brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua, Friday, July 31, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
