Jean Mary Leppanen
Jean Mary Leppanen peacefully passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born on May 21, 1940, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Jean was the beloved daughter of Kaino (Pera) Lampila and Veikko Lampila.
Jean enjoyed a distinguished career as the Executive Secretary to the President of New Hampshire Technical College in Nashua, where she dedicated many years to education.
Above all else, Jean treasured her family. She found her greatest happiness spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to travel, exploring across the country and internationally with family and close friends, especially her dear friend, Midge. A lifelong athlete, Jean enjoyed running and staying active at a variety of local gyms over the years. She found peace and joy at the beach, with Cape Cod holding a special place in her heart.
Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carl E. Leppanen, who passed away on February 13, 1996, as well as by her parents.
She leaves behind her children: Scott Leppanen and his wife, Karin, of 30 years; Jeffrey Leppanen and his partner, Katherine Charlotte Andrew; and Jill Leppanan-Lerner and her husband, Scott, of 24 years. She was the proud and devoted grandmother of Madeline Jean Lerner and Elliot Carl Lerner, both of Nashua. She is also survived by her brothers- and sisters-in-law, along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
The family would like to thank the Memory Care 1 staff at Bowman Place and the Bayada Hospice team for their loving care.
