Annette E. Asselin
Annette E. Asselin passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at the Courville Nursing Home in Nashua, she was 100 years and 10 months old. She was the only daughter of the late George and Eva (Rousseau) Bleau.
She attended Holy Infant Jesus School and graduated from Nashua High in 1944. Her first job was at Priscilla’s Soda Fountain & Café on Main Street in Nashua, she later worked as a telephone operator until she began her family. Annette married Rosario Asselin on June 1, 1945, and together they raised six children during their 70+ years of marriage.
She later started swimming daily at the YWCA and walking throughout the Crown Hill area, often picking up friends and neighbors to join her along the way. Annette and Rosario were avid cribbage players; they taught their children and grandchildren to enjoy the game as well. She also enjoyed learning to play bridge at the Nashua Senior Center. She loved to cook, and volunteered on the bereavement committee at Holy Infant Jesus Church, where her homemade baked beans were popular on the menu. Annette was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was faithful to her Catholic values and shared them with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Anita Guerette and her husband, Arthur of Hudson, Denise Hudson & her husband, David of Nashua, her sons, Richard Asselin of Largo, Florida, Daniel Asselin & his wife, Denise of Nashua, and David Asselin & his wife, Suzanne of Hollis.
Grandchildren: Matthew Hudson of Reading, Lacey Cormier of Hollis, Chelsea Richard of Nashua, Sarah Asselin of Merrimack, Ryan Asselin of Manchester, Nicole Asselin of Florida, Michael Asselin of Townsend, MA., Katelyn Asselin of Manchester, Jeffrey Asselin of Dedham, MA, Jarad Asselin of Denver CO.
Great Grandchildren: Merceidiz Diaz, Grace, Abigail & Reagan Hudson, Steven, Lucas & Bailey Asselin, Emmie Asselin, William & Austin Richard.
Annette was predeceased by her husband, Rosario, her brother Roger Bleau, her son, Gerard & his wife, Nancy and 2 grandsons, Steven Asselin and Jason Asselin.
Family and friends are invited to Annette’s Visitation on MONDAY July 13th from 9 until 10 AM at Infant Jesus Church (St. John XXIII Parish), 121 Allds Street, Nashua. Her funeral mass will follow at 10 AM. Interment will take place following mass at St. Francis Xavier Cemetry, Nashua.
