Charles L. Davis

Charles L. Davis, 94, of Nashua, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 7, 2026 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, after a period of declining health.

A resident of Nashua for the past 59 years, he was born in Stafford, Kansas on March 31, 1932, a son of the late Charles M. and Elizabeth A. (Parker) Davis. Educated in Kansas schools, Charles attended the Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland and earned a master’s degree from the Naval Graduate School.

After moving to Nashua in 1967, Charles was employed as a program manager with Sanders Associates on Canal Street, Nashua and continued with their successor Lockheed Sanders in Hudson until his retirement in 1994. Charles was also a night school teacher at Hesser College and the former Daniel Webster College.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed reading, playing Bingo and watching his favorite sports on television including baseball, football and tennis. Charles and his wife, Maria enjoyed traveling to Europe, The Caribbean and Las Vegas and especially loved spending time with his family.

Charles was the husband of Maria V. (Marchetti) Davis, whom he married on August 30, 1958 and shared 57 wonderful years together until her passing on December 28, 2015.

Members of his family include five children, Charles J. Davis and his wife Priscilla of Merrimack, NH, Catherine M. Davis and her partner Louis Bisonni of Whiting, NJ, Carolyn M. Davis and her partner Nicholas Albano of Nashua, Christopher J. Davis and his wife Laura of Nashua and Craig J. Davis and his wife Holly of Manchester, NH; eleven grandchildren, Jacqueline Davis, Jonathan Davis, Jennifer Dunn and her husband Christopher, Leo Davis, Elliot Davis, Maya Davis, Benjamin Davis, Jacob Davis, and Genevieve Davis, Rosalie Davis, Fletcher Davis, ; five great-grandchildren, Aleigha Dunn, Christopher Dunn, Jr., Charleigh Dunn, Jason Davis, and Veronica Davis. In addition to his wife and parents, Charles was predeceased by his sister Betty Kellum.

Family and friends are invited to the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Saturday, June 13th 10 to 11 a.m. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11 o’clock.
