Marguerite Alice Rassier
Marguerite Alice Rassier died on Friday, May 15, 2026. She passed away peacefully at home while under hospice care for Alzheimer’s disease. Marguerite was born on February 27, 1934, the daughter of Romuald and Alice Thibault.
She married Roger Rassier in 1954. Together they built a family in her hometown of Greenville, NH. After Roger’s untimely death in 1966, Marguerite supported her five children with multiple jobs. She later remarried William Howard and the family moved to Wilton, NH where they enjoyed living on “the farm” with a large garden and animals. Marguerite spent many years working as a medical officer manager for Dr. Robert Wellwood and Dr. John Haley.
In her retirement, she devoted her time to the St. Marie Rivier Associates, the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and the choir at Sacred Heart of Jesus parish in Greenville. She spent hours crocheting baby blankets for the children of extended family and friends. Marguerite enjoyed travel, taking many short trips around New England, a long cross-country road trip with a friend, and multiple trips to Europe.
Marguerite was predeceased by her husband Roger Rassier, daughter Sandra K. Rassier and second husband William Howard. She leaves behind her children, Diane (Michael) Veprauskas, Gloria (Mark) Hussey, Michael (Patricia) Rassier, and Mark Rassier, as well as grandchildren Justin, Amy, Rachel, Samantha, Meagan, and Laura, and great-granddaughters Alicia and Lily.
A Mass in Marguerite’s memory will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Greenville, NH, on Saturday, June 6th, at 4:00 p.m. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marguerite’s name to St. Vincent de Paul/Sacred Heart Food Pantry, 15 High Street, Greenville, NH 03087.
