David Linatsas
It is with great sadness that the family of David Linatsas (74) of Nashua, NH shares his passing on Sunday, May 10th, 2026. David, known to many as Dr. Dave, was a proud native of Nashua, born to James and Evanthia on September 12th, 1951. David was the 2nd of five siblings. He attended Nashua schools, graduating from Nashua High School in 1970. David’s first job was at his father’s business – James Painting and Drywall, fueling a lifelong pride in his Greek heritage and family legacy of small business ownership.
David attended Keene State College where he met his first wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Ward, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education. His talent for teaching and special care for children of all abilities led David to an early career in Special Education. He taught at Nashua elementary schools, forming endearing bonds with his students and their families. He was proud to be among the first teachers at the new Bicentennial Elementary School in Nashua.
David taught for 6 years, when Betty’s bout with debilitating headaches introduced him to chiropractic care. David’s natural inclination for curiosity and understanding how things worked, aligned with his love for helping others as he pursued a doctorate in chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated as valedictorian in 1984, and shortly after Betty and David welcomed their son, Brandon, to their family. David and his young family returned to Nashua and opened Nashua Family Chiropractic the following year.
With David and Betty’s dedication to chiropractic’s values and the desire to help others heal, Nashua Family Chiropractic (known today as Lyphos Family Health) grew from its humble beginnings to a thriving family business. Operating from a 900 square foot space, David cared for thousands of patients of all ages for over 30 years. Dr. Dave was known to inspire smiles and laughter with his patients, making many lasting friendships with patients and staff alike. David was respected as a knowledgeable and approachable healthcare provider, often helping patients find comfort after years of pain. He worked diligently to grow and support chiropractic as a profession, and spent much time collaborating with other NH chiropractors to create state legislation still in place today. In 2016, David retired from chiropractic as his son, Brandon, took over the family business. Following David’s lifelong dedication to providing care to the community, Lyphos expanded and moved yet remains an esteemed Nashua healthcare center.
David remarried in 2013, to Steven Kenneally. He kept a busy life and practice, until Brandon moved home and David’s first grandchild was born in 2014 and second grandchild in 2016. As he took a step back from being an active chiropractor, he took on his final (and favorite) career: Papou to June and Cole. Together, alongside his husband, David spent many afternoons with his family doing art and piano lessons, science experiments, magic tricks, dancing, and cooking with his grandchildren. David and Steve have enjoyed traveling in their camper, and the sunshine in Florida over the past few years. Throughout his life, and despite health challenges, David never lost his love for learning and making magic from the world around him. He was a talented gardener and enjoyed observing nature’s beauty. David was well-known for his intelligence and wealth of knowledge, his creativity and ingenuity, and his value of connection with others.
David leaves behind his husband Steve, son Brandon, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren Cole and June, brother Charlie, sister-in-law Mickey, sister Donna, niece Sandi, nephew Craig, great-niece Riley, and first wife Elizabeth. He is predeceased by his mother Evanthia, father James, brother Dennis, sister Debbie, and great niece Caylin. David will be greatly missed by many extended family and friends.
We invite family and friends to join in celebrating David’s life at his memorial service to be held on Thursday, May 21st, at the Davis Funeral Home in Nashua, NH. Visiting hours will be held 4pm to 7:30pm with a service directly to follow at 7:30pm. Donations can be made to United Way of Greater Nashua in David’s honor.
