Willard L. Keirstead
Willard L. “Willie” Keirstead, age 90, a lifelong resident of Nashua, NH, passed away, Saturday morning, April 4, 2026.
Born in Nashua on January 26, 1936, he was a son of the late Willard C. and Gladys I. (Fancy) Keirstead. Educated in local schools, Willard was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1954.
Shortly after his graduation, he enlisted in the Marine Corps on July 22, 1954 and served as a Field Radio Operator until his honorable discharge on July 21, 1957. Following his military service, Willard worked in the family construction company for many years.
Willard was a lover of sports and coached baseball in Nashua for over 50 years. Coaching Little League and Babe Ruth, then college level at Daniel Webster College. He will forever be part of Nashua Baseball in Coaches Corner. In his leisure time, Willard loved fishing, spending time with his family and going out to eat.
In addition to his parents, Willard was also predeceased by his son, Harvey W. Keirstead; his sister, Barbara V. Keirstead; his brother, Harold W. Kierstead and his wife Barbara; and his two former wives, Linda Young and Linda (Michaud) Keirstead.
His family includes his son, Dale Keirstead; his daughter, Sheri Keirstead and her partner, David Sample; and son, Jason Keirstead and his wife Kelly; his only grandson, Jayden Keirstead; his brother, Richard C. Keirstead and his wife Susan; his partner for many years, Pat Trainovech; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Friday, April 10th from 10 a.m. to Noon.
