Olivette “Jeanne” E. Bourbeau
Olivette “Jeanne” E. Bourbeau, 100, died peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Courville Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Bourbeau with whom she shared 55 years of marriage prior to his passing on September 19, 2003.
Jeanne was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on November 19, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Annette (Chagnon) Cote. She received her education in the Nashua School System.
Jeanne was a dedicated and hardworking professional whose strong work ethic defined much of her life. She spent over 25 years as a valued employee at BAE Systems, where she worked diligently in the quality control department until retiring at the age of 65. Never one to remain idle, Jeanne soon embarked on a second career with the Nashua Superior Court, where she served as housekeeping manager for 15 years. In every role she held, Jeanne took great pride in her work, earning the respect and appreciation of colleagues and all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.
In her free time, Jeanne found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially reading and the cherished tradition of Saturday night dancing with her beloved husband, Joseph. A true matriarch, she was the heart of her family, always welcoming loved ones into her home with open arms and a full table; no one ever left her gatherings hungry. Above all, Jeanne treasured time spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness. Affectionately known as “Queenie” among friends and caregivers at the nursing home, Jeanne’s warmth and spirit left a lasting impression. In her final days, nothing brought her more joy than the visits from her great-grandchildren, whose presence lit up her world.
Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Denise Dumaine and her husband Thomas of Hudson; her seven grandchildren, Jessica Leveille and her husband Scott, Christopher Dumaine, Greg Bourbeau and his wife Emily, Stacey Bourbeau, Kyle Bourbeau and his wife Casey, Ryan Averill and his wife Lindsey, and Kristen Averill and her husband Franklin; as well as her ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Wendy Bourbeau of Nashua; her sister-in-law, Barbara Cote of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews.
Sadly, in addition to her parents and her husband, Joseph, she was predeceased by her son Normand Bourbeau, her daughter Pauline Averill; her sisters Armand “Annie” Pinette and her husband Alfred “Al” Pinette and Patricia D’Antoni and her husband Dominic; as well as her brothers, Normand Cote, Roger Cote and his wife Joan, and Bernard Cote.
