Mona Ricard
Mona Ricard, 83, succumbed to her prolonged battle with dementia on January 5, 2026. She was born on March 25, 1942, in Nashua, New Hampshire, one of five children to Wilfred and Laura Boudreau.
In 1965, she met and married Carl Ricard, and together they built their life in Hollis, New Hampshire, where they raised their three children and lived for many years before retiring to Leesburg, Florida.
Before dedicating herself to raising her family, Mona attended business school and worked as an executive secretary at Sanders Associates and later at the International Paperbox Machine Company, both in Nashua.
When Mona wasn’t working, she enjoyed singing in the choir at the Parish of the Resurrection church in Nashua, NH and later at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg, FL. Mona also loved oil painting, gardening, and knitting beautiful blankets for her friends, family and the Lake County, FL animal shelter. She and her husband Carl did many things together, including motorcycling, flying their Cessna, and touring the country in their family RV for months at a time, along with her dogs, Max and Daisy, as beloved companions.
Mona was one of the kindest souls you could ever hope to meet. She had a natural warmth about her and was always smiling, always ready with a friendly word, and always making others feel welcome. If someone was in need, she was the first to step in and help, never hesitating to give whatever she could. Her generosity wasn’t loud or showy; it was simply who she was. She moved through life with joy, compassion, and an open heart, and everyone who knew her felt that kindness in a deeply personal way. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Ricard and her three children. Daughter Laura (Ricard) Pilkington, 57, resides in Georgetown, TX with her husband Mark Pilkington; daughter Audrey (Ricard) Bryant, 55, resides in Buckeye, AZ with her husband Jeff Bryant, and son James Ricard, 52, resides in N. Myrtle Beach, SC with wife Heather Norris Ricard. She also has five grandchildren, Tyler Bryant (28), Ian Towle (28), Molly Bryant (26), Ryan Towle (26) and Rylan Ricard (17).
Mona is predeceased by all of her siblings; brother Bruno Boudreau, Nashua, NH and sister Rolande Goldman, Lake Alfred, FL in 2025, sister Gertrude Bernard, Nashua, NH in 1996, and sister Fleurette Laquerre, Milford, NH in 2021.
Per her wishes, no formal services will be held at this time. She has been cremated and will remain with her loving husband until the day they are laid to rest together in New Hampshire.
