Virginia R. “Ginny” (Dwyer) Guilmette
Virginia R. “Ginny” (Dwyer) Guilmette, of Nashua, NH, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 18, 2026 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack.
Ginny was born on January 13, 1937 in Nashua, NH, a daughter of the late Augustus L. Dwyer and Thelma Ruth (Smith) Dwyer Foucher. Educated in local schools, she attended the former Sacred Heart School of St. Patrick Church and graduated from Nashua High School Class of 1954.
In addition to raising her eight children, Ginny had been employed with Sanders Associates, Harris Corporation, Cal Comp and their successor Benchmark and Colonial Electronics. She later worked at Healthy at Home into her 80s.
Ginny loved going to yard sales where she was always looking for a bargain. She loved to dance and enjoyed baking and cake decorating. Ginny especially loved her children and family and was a second mom to nine people. She will be remembered as a very kind and generous person.
Members of her family include seven children, Robert Guilmette of Nashua, Brenda Guilmette and her significant other, Daniel Jamieson of Nashua, Pamela Guilmette of Merrimack, Todd Guilmette of Nashua, Darren Guilmette and his wife Jennifer of Temple, Randy Guilmette and his significant other Hollie Briggs of Lyndeborough and Ricky Guilmette of Nashua; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Dwyer and Donald Dwyer both of Nashua; three sisters, Judy Hoffman of Florida, Kathy Brown of Haverhill, NH and Susan Blais and her husband Leo of Arizona. In addition to her parents, Ginny was predeceased by her son, Douglas J. Guilmette; her former husband, Edward R. Guilmette; her brothers, Kenneth Dwyer, Charles Dwyer and Gus Dwyer; her sisters, Elizabeth Sarantakis and Linda Everette; and two grandchildren, Allison Rose and Joshua Randy Guilmette.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Community Hospice House and her 3rd Floor nurse Sharon at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for all their care and kindness.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Wednesday, March 25th from 4 to 6 p.m. A Graveside Service will take place in St. Louis Cemetery, 752 West Hollis Street, Nashua, Saturday, March 28th at 10 a.m. Family and friends are kindly invited to meet at the cemetery.
